Step Into This Flower-Filled Asian-Fusion Wedding

Location: Davenport House

When I first met this couple for their Davenport House wedding, they shared their vision of a romantic fusion of traditional Asian elements with modern floral design. I was instantly inspired. Their colour palette of soft blush pink, vibrant hot pink, and deep reds set the tone for a wedding bursting with energy, romance, and luxurious florals.

Asian-fusion weddings are always fun to work on - blending tradition with contemporary design requires careful consideration of both aesthetics, structure and logistics. From the mandap to the floral aisle clouds, we wanted each installation to feel abundant, romantic, and completely harmonious with the venue’s country house elegance.

The mandap is the heart of any Asian wedding, and for this celebration, we wanted it to feel ceremonial yet contemporary. Using roses, hydrangeas, and trailing amaranthus, we created a floral installation that complemented the traditional architecture while keeping the colour palette vibrant and romantic.

We layered textures and heights to create depth, the result was a mandap that felt immersive, intimate, and picture-perfect — a true highlight of the day.

All of the aisle and entrance arch florals were entirely fresh, creating that soft, romantic, immersive feeling as guests walked into the ceremony. For the mandap, we blended fresh blooms with the existing faux structure, carefully integrating roses, hydrangeas, and trailing amaranthus into the design so it felt abundant and luxurious while still respecting the traditional framework. This mix allowed us to maintain a cohesive, vibrant look without compromising on freshness or impact.

This Asian-fusion wedding at Davenport House was all about creating romance, drama, and joy through florals. The combination of soft pinks and deep reds is a new favourite of mine! Every installation was designed to feel natural, flowing, and unforgettable.
